Meet our Ambassadors

Our ambassadors are trained experts in the art of PaddleZlam.  They have devoted their careers to helping others achieve a healthy lifestyle through physical education.  They are the governing body by which all PaddleZlam game play rules and applicable PE standards have been established.

Hello my name is Justin Schleider and I am the Physical Education and Health teacher at Springfield Elementary School. I graduated from Rowan University where I attained a degree in Health and Exercise Science. I received my masters degree in physical education as well as educational leadership from Emporia State University.

Joe McCarthy is an elementary physical education teacher in Farmington, MN
He serves on the Central District Leadership team and the MNSHAPE BOD.
Joe was the 2012 MNSHAPE TOY.

April Baugh, an elementary physical education and health teacher at Linn Elementary School, KS. Semifinalist for the 2017 Kansas Teacher of the Year award.
April Baugh is currently on the KAHPERD Executive Board.

Debbie Lopez is an Adapted PE teacher for Direct Ed Educational Solutions across the Greater Los Angeles area. She is also the Cross Country coach at Taft Charter H.S. in Woodland Hills, CA.

Chris Walker

Born in Bristol, Tennessee, Walker spent a great deal of his time moving around with his military family before ending up at the University of Spartanburg, now known as South Carolina Upstate. In college, he shifted his major many times, beginning with art, then mechanical engineering, to accounting, and finally, physical education. His first job offer after graduation was at Hillsborough Elementary when the the school first became year-round Hillsborough Elementary in 1996, and he has been there ever since – 21 years to be exact.
